The first ever Prop Lab hands-on experience will be happening on the Stage Expo floor in Fort Lauderdale!  You'll find rock star talent in the lab; curated by last year’s Early Career Honors speaker Jay Duckworth.  The lab will provide demonstrations and hands-on activities led by esteemed Properties Masters, Educators, Artisans, Puppet makers & Fight Masters throughout the conference.

Pneumatics with Eric Hart- supported by Jay Duckworth

Eric Hart is the props master at Triad Stage and visiting professor at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He is the author of "The Prop Building Guidebook: for Theater, Film, and TV and "The Prop Effects Guidebook”.

Simple Pneumatics: Eric will introduce the principles of pneumatic prop design and demonstrate everything from simple puffs of dust to more complex movement using pneumatic cylinders and solenoid valves.
